The Guerrilla Marketing Process

When it comes to marketing there is no right time to stop, the day you close your business is the day you should stop any marketing campaigns as it’s a lifelong process if you want the best results and ROI. The most time consuming step of guerrilla marketing is actually after you have started it, you have to spend time monitoring and improving your attack. It’s also the most crucial step which many marketers do not do correctly.

Even when you are happy with the results of your campaign you have to stay on top because your competitors will learn from you and begin to mimic you – reducing your success.

You need to keep analysing the market and try to identify new niches you can attack your audience, often the large companies will only venture down massively profitable routes to get a much larger ROI but if you can dominate the smaller areas of your niche you can make a small fortune without much competition.

Always put the research into your audience, know what they want, how they want it and how you can give it to them, the best thing about guerrillas is that they should always be testing out new and innovative methods to reach their audience.

Once you have a customer, you should try and build a positive relationship. Don’t fall into the trap and just focus on gaining new custom, you should also treat each customer different. Instead of mass mailing in the future only select the people that will be interested in the subject, this is key if you want to keep your customers for as long as possible. Remember it’s just as hard to sell a single issue opposed to a subscription, focus on the long term and you will benefit from your efforts for years to come.
