CounterPunch’s David Price dissects the 147 pages released from the FBI’s security file on author and activist Edward Said. Price discovers the FBI monitored Said’s involvement with Palestinian and pro-Arab organizations, particularly after the 1972 Munich Olympics terrorist incident. Yet there are ‘temporal and thematic gaps’ and much of Said’s file remains unreleased due to post-Patriot Act restrictions.
